Visitor Visa
Visitor Visa
Visit visa, also known as Temporary Resident Visa, is the visa issued to the visitors for the sole purpose of visiting Canada as a tourist or visiting friends and family or attending a convention in Canada.
- A visitor visa, also known as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), is required for most foreign nationals who wish to visit Canada. The visitor visa allows individuals to enter Canada for a specific purpose, such as tourism, visiting friends and family, or business.
- The processing time for a visitor visa can vary depending on the country of origin, and the workload of the immigration office processing the application. The visa is usually valid for a period of 6 months.
- Canada has also the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) which is a different type of travel document required for visa-exempt foreign nationals. The eTA is linked to the passport and is valid for five years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.
- We want you to understand that the final decision to issue a visa lies with the immigration officer and no one else. No immigration consultant can influence the officer’s decision.
Resourceful Tips:
A visitor on a visit visa (TRV) must not work in Canada unless the visitor has a work permit. Do not get influenced by wrong advise and do not come to Canada on Visitor Visa to work or to stay permanently in Canada.
Work Permit to work in Canada and a PR visa to live permanently in Canada are a MUST.
