Investors / Entrepreneurs
The investor programs enable investors to obtain Permanent Residence for themselves and their families by investing in Canada. Investors can either start their own business or invest in an existing one. The purpose of these programs is to attract successful entrepreneurs and investors to Canada to stimulate economic growth and job creation.
Almost every province in Canada offers investor programs tailored to its specific needs. The minimum investment requirement can start at $200,000 CAD or more, with higher investments potentially increasing the chances of approval.
Investor programs are specifically aimed at successful entrepreneurs from outside Canada.
To qualify for any investor program, you MUST
- Be a business owner with at least 3 years of work experience in the last 5 years, or
- Be a senior manager with at least 4 years of work experience in the last 5 years, or
- Have a combination of both.
Initially, you will provided with a work permit and approx. 20 months of time to start your proposed/promised business in Canada. After a year of running the business successfully, a PNP nomination would be provided and the PR process would be initiated.
English Language Requirements: Low to medium.
If your proposal to invest is approved, you will receive a work permit and approximately 20 months of time to establish your proposed business in Canada. After successfully running the business for a year, you may receive a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nomination, initiating the Permanent Residency (PR) process.
