Family Sponsorship Visa
The Family Class sponsorship program in Canada enables Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor certain family members for permanent residency.
Eligible family members include:
- Spouse
- Dependant Children (both biological and adopted)
- Children intended for adoption in Canada
- Parents
- Grand Parents
- Grand Children
- Common-law partner / conjugal partner and their dependent children
- Brothers / Sisters (if orphaned)
- Nephews / Nieces (if orphaned)
- Sponsors must prove their ability to financially support the sponsored family member and demonstrate that the relationship is genuine.
- The sponsored family member must also pass medical, criminal, and background checks.
